This class is designed to introduce a simple and beautiful way to observe, sketch and finally draw. The final piece will be completed on fine art paper. Lauren will teach concepts in mark making techniques she uses in her paintings. You will take home an 8x10 fine art paper with your work.

About the artist;
Lauren Johnson is a contemporary artist who recently returned to NJ Shore where she grew up. Outside of her coastal living, she lived in Philadelphia, Waterbury, Vermont and Salamanca, Spain. Lauren sells her artwork with a select few galleries in Bay Head and Manasquan, privately and with Serena & Lily. Lauren is fueled by experiences in nature and learning new things especially through travel. In addition to painting, she has experience in ceramics, woodblock printing and photography.
Lauren will be hosting a series of small workshops focused on color, nature, and connection. This is a great opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and immerse yourself in creativity, food, drink & fun! Each workshop includes the materials you need and a take home of your art, champagne, and goodies from Black Shed. All are welcome - no previous creative experience needed.
